Cinema One Originals Now Accepts Entries for 2009 Digital Movie Festival!
Premiere movie cable channel Cinema One is now accepting entries for the 2009 Cinema One
Originals Digital Movie Festival competition!
Now on its 5th Year, Cinema One Originals 2009 Movie Festival provides the venue for directors and writers or even film enthusiasts to freely express their original vision and stories. Like the previously successful digital movie festival, a P1,000,000.00 budget will be awarded to each of the chosen 5 (five) finalists to produce their movie. The festival and awards will be on the last quarter of 2009.
Interested parties whether named, veteran or amateur filmmakers may submit the required full screenplay. Entries may also include character/story descriptions and the production timeline proposal of the project.
Since its inception in 2005, the Cinema One Originals has become a melting pot of new talents, may they be debuting filmmakers, screenplay writers, cinematographers, production designers and of course actors and actresses. Spearheaded by the visionary Director for Programming of Cinema One Ronald Arguelles who is also the Executive Producer of the digital movie festival, the Cinema One Originals has succeeded in its noble purposes. It introduced new talents, became a great alternative for more diverse stories to be realized and above all, it gave a stage for new, thriving or fledgling talents. Cinema One Originals became a venue for movies that defy traditional or formulaic stories but still possessed commercial viability.
Cinema One Originals is owned and produced by Cinema One, the top cable channel of Creative Programs Inc. (CPI) Entries should be in hard copy and should be submitted to the Cinema One Office at the 8th floor of the ELJ Communications Center, along Lopez Drive, Quezon City. Please ook for Lanie de Guzman from Monday to Friday at 9 am to 6pm. No soft copies, emails and faxed entries will be accepted. Deadline of the script submission will be on Friday February 27, 2009.
