ULING, which stands for Unang Laro Iyak Ngiti Ginto, is a record of the life of Filipino children in the real society. These children who dream, struggle and courageusly will realize their dreams through an enthusiastic approach to life. ULING has for its subjects three children who belong to different walks but share the same goals of establishing an excellent existence in the future: a young girl from an indigenous community is an image of a model student, a young boy who works to support his family and studies proves that poverty is indeed before our eyes, and a young girl who is fighting physical illness to survive establishes that achievement of a gold is possible even at the most tragic moment of life. ULING is an inspiration to the youth to live with dignity and perseverance.
